POMPEII: The Exhibition at the Arizona Science Center

Families and curious minds across the Valley are invited to step back in time when the renowned “POMPEII: The Exhibition” opens at the Arizona Science Center in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
This immersive, museum-quality experience transports visitors to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. With over 150 original-artifacts on loan from the collections of the Naples National Archaeological Museum and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, visitors will gain rare insight into how Romans lived, built, worshipped and played just before the catastrophic eruption.
What to Expect
- Encounter mosaics, frescoes, household objects, gladiatorial gear, tools, and even full-body casts of citizens whose lives were forever changed. Arizona Science Center
- Explore reconstructed Roman villas, baths, marketplaces and baths — all enhanced with rich media, immersive design and audio elements to bring ancient Pompeii to life.
- Experience an evocative simulated eruption, putting you at the eruption’s moment and helping you understand how this tragedy preserved one of history’s most extraordinary archaeological sites.
