The wildly entertaining twist on Shakespeare’s most iconic love story will run for a limited engagement through May 9, 2026, delivering romance on the rocks, sword fights with swagger, and tragedy turned hysterical.
Presented by the Drunk Shakespeare Society, Drunk Romeo & Juliet features one professional actor who downs more than five shots of alcohol before diving headfirst into the world’s most famous tale of star-crossed lovers. The result is a bold, chaotic, and unforgettable experience where passion is intoxicating, comedy is unpredictable, and no two performances are ever the same.
Whether audiences arrive as hopeless romantics or are simply here for happy hour, Drunk Romeo & Juliet serves Shakespeare’s greatest love story with a generous pour of irreverence. The show blends epic poetry, pop culture references, and liberal departures from the text—making it accessible for Shakespeare aficionados and first-timers alike.
Performances take place at The Rose Theatre, located at 455 N. 3rd St., Suite #1010, with the main entrance accessible via the valet entrance off N. 3rd Street. Shows run Wednesday through Sunday at various times.
