Arizona Bike Week Kicks Off Wednesday at WestWorld With Five Days of Rides, Music and Action

Arizona Bike Week gets underway at WestWorld Wednesday, April 8, launching five days of concerts, bike shows and high-energy experiences. Gates open at 9 a.m. daily, with activities starting early and continuing throughout the night. Set for Wednesday, April 8 through Sunday, April 12, at WestWorld of Scottsdale (16601 N Pima Road, Scottsdale), Arizona Bike Week is among the Southwest’s biggest bike rallies, with multiple passes and options available for guests looking to get in on all the action.
“This week always has a different kind of energy,” said Arizona Bike Week Co-Producer Lisa Cyr. “Everything people have been waiting for finally comes to life. The bikes roll in, the music kicks off and the whole place takes on a life of its own.”
Among the major highlights are four nights of concerts in the RockYard, running Wednesday through Saturday. Black Stone Cherry kicks things off Wednesday, April 8, followed by Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening on Thursday, April 9. Cody Jinks takes the stage Friday, April 10, and rock legend Ted Nugent closes out the concert series Saturday, April 11. The event also shines a spotlight on local talent, with 25 regional bands performing across multiple stages throughout the five-day rally. Daytime programming delivers plenty of action as well, with five gravity-defying stunt shows and six spectacular bike shows scheduled throughout the week spotlighting everything from early builds and lowriders to choppers and modern machines. The Hellracer Dome will again be a major part of the action, with racing, training classes and demonstrations taking place inside throughout the event. Flat track racing will return, with tight turns and bike-on-bike action taking place around a short dirt track. Professional racer Johnny Lewis will lead Slide School sessions focused on building control and confidence on two wheels, and electric unicycle racing will also take place inside the Dome, adding a fresh – and unconventional - element to the Hellracer lineup.
Outside the Hellracer Dome, a massive vendor showcase will give fans a chance to shop gear, apparel and a wide range of bike-related products and services. A Used Bike Corral will also take place in the Steel Garage, giving guests a chance to buy, sell or upgrade their rides during the festivities.
Saturday also introduces a new Arizona Bike Week element, the Bikes & Fights Arena Wars Fighting Series. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 11, with gates opening at 4 p.m. Fighters from across the combat sports circuit will face off inside The Pit for an evening of high-intensity action.
Parking is available on-site for $10 for vehicles. Motorcycle parking is free and offers easy access to the event grounds. Ticket options include single-day passes as well as Rally Passes that allow access to all days and concerts. Admission is also free daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for attendees looking to catch stunt and bike shows, shop the vendor showcase and explore the grounds without attending a concert.
