‘The Art of Motherhood’ Workshop set for May 9 at Scottsdale Quarter
Complimentary Printmaking Workshop to Create Custom Tote Bags with a Local Artist
Scottsdale Quarter will host The Art of Motherhood, a complimentary, hands-on printmaking workshop in celebration of Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 9 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
In partnership with Scottsdale Arts, the drop-in experience will be led by Phoenix-based artist Olivia Yuen, and offers guests the opportunity to create a custom, take-home piece. Participants will select from pre-carved designs, ink their block and use a press to print onto a canvas tote bag. Once dry, guests can personalize their design with fabric markers. Paper will also be available for additional prints.
The event offers a creative way to spend time together and make a thoughtful, handmade gift ahead of Mother’s Day. No prior experience is needed. Guests can enjoy complimentary lemonade and cookies from True Food Kitchen while taking part in the workshop, which is free and open to the public.
